About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Site Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the optimal performance, reliability and safety of our technical operations.
The Site Supervisor is responsible for providing technical expertise, strategic planning and efficient resource management to support operational objectives. The successful candidate will oversee technical teams, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and drive the effective maintenance and performance of equipment and machinery within a mining environment.
Minimum requirements
Qualifications
- Medically fit
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Auto Electrical or Electrical Trade (must)
- Driver's licence (must)
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within the mining or material processing industry
- Experience working with safety systems, mining technology or related technical equipment
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage site-based operations
Technical knowledge
- Strong understanding of Proximity Detection Systems (PDS) and mining safety practices
- Experience with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, system configuration and technical support
- Working knowledge of mining regulations, safety standards and compliance requirements
Key responsibilities
- Supervise the installation, deployment, configuration and upgrading of PAS1000 systems on site
- Monitor system performance and ensure maximum uptime and reliability
- Coordinate preventative maintenance activities and lead troubleshooting efforts to minimise downtime
- Deliver and oversee PAS1000 training, coaching and competency assessments for mine and company personnel
- Ensure compliance with mining regulations, safety standards, service level agreements and company procedures
- Prepare and submit operational, training, compliance and system performance reports
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key mining stakeholders
- Drive a proactive safety culture through the effective application of PAS1000 technology
- Coordinate and oversee PAS1000-related projects, including Level 9 compliance implementations and system upgrades
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, system performance and customer satisfaction
