About the role
We are seeking an experienced RBE Subject Matter Expert (SME)/Specialist to provide technical leadership and support for RBE systems in the mining environment.
The successful candidate will lead technical projects and teams, oversee system maintenance and troubleshooting, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide expert guidance to customers and stakeholders to support safe and reliable operations.
Minimum requirements
- Trade or relevant qualifications (Electrical / Millwright)
- Engineering diploma
- Trade Certificate
- English literate
- Good communication skills
- Advanced computer and network skills
- Excel, Word, PowerPoint, DrawIO
- Basic Linux
- Physically and medically able to work underground

Key responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Product-specific expertise
- High-level technical support and planning
- Responsible for RBE system compliance to regulations and safety and legal standards
- Lead and manage RBE technical teams
- Projects and new technology roll-out and implementation
- Supports commissioning and acceptance testing
- Support technical sign-off for projects
- Creation of scope, drawings and schedules, e.g. project expansions
- Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support
- Debugging complex technical issues on any hardware, software and IT infrastructure
- Reporting and analysis
- Equipment reliability and operational performance
- Early detection of cost-of-ownership anomalies
- Build strong customer relationships and provide technical expertise
- Conduct site visits, audits and Root Cause Analysis investigations, and solve complex problems
